Film Editor
Off-Line & On-Line
ABOUT ME
Originally from Chicago, I've now been working in the film and television community in Los Angeles for over 20 years and have been a freelance editor for over 15 years. I started out as a Title and Camera Supervisor shooting on a 35mm Oxberry Animation Stand (like they did at Disney with cel animation) at a Title & Optical Post Facility. I created 35mm main and end titles for features and trailers for companies such as Sony, Paramount, and Lionsgate to name a few. I then continued on in post-production and worked my way up to a post-coordinator on movie of the weeks for Hallmark Hall of Fame (CBS) and Warner Brothers. During that time I was a Co-Producer on the award winning documentary MISSING PRESUMED DEAD: The Search for America's POWs narrated by Ed Asner and then I was a Producer and Director of Photography on the award winning sports documentary THE LONG GREEN LINE.
As I continued working my way up through editorial into being a Film Editor I also went back to school to receive my Masters Degree in Film Editing at the American Film Institute (AFI) where I was mentored by esteemed Film Editor Donn Cambern (Easy Rider, Ghostbusters II, The Bodyguard).
As you can see I edit a wide range of content and genres. I've worked hard over the years to hone my storytelling abilities as a creative film editor that I'm able to successfully bring any story off the pages and onto the big screen.
